Visit Polpenazze del Garda
Polpenazze is a small village comprising 2611 residents in the middle of the Valtenesi region, a few minutes away from Lake Garda. It is known for the production of wine and oil, and it is much appreciated by nature lovers for the long walks and the excursions you can undertake there.
One of the good qualities of this village is that it is surrounded in the vegetation of the countryside.
Planning a trip to Polpenazze del Garda allows you to discover the heart of this region: it is the main producer of olive oil from the Valtenesi, as well as for the local vines, the San Giovese and the Barbera. To these, the council dedicates the widely known Wine Fair of Polpenazze, where history and food-and-wine connoisseurship welcome tourists and residents with a breathtaking landscape.
This Fair is now part of the history and culture of Lake Garda: the celebration of a fortunate soil through its traditions, its culture and above all its typical products, starting from the wine, of course.
These are the ingredients of the Wine Fair Valtenesi-Garda Classico Doc of Polpenazze del Garda, that takes place every year between end May and June. It is not only an important moment of coming together and social cohesion, but above all a fundamental way to promote our territory and our agriculture of excellence, representing an essential element of attraction for tourism economy.
Besides the pleasures of wine, Polpenazze is also a land rich in history. It is the testimony of the first human settlement in the Bronze Age. The ruins of pile dwellings have been found in the dried Lucone Lake.
